Student Billing Coordinator

St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Potomac, MD seeks a Student Billing Coordinator, beginning October 1, 2024, or sooner.

Position Description:
We are seeking an experienced Student Billing Coordinator, who will be responsible for managing and coordinating all student billing operations.  The Student Billing Coordinator will oversee daily accounting, collection and reporting of student accounts receivable.  This will include conferring and corresponding with families on a variety of questions and issues related to student accounts.  Systems that are currently in place are TADS, our tuition management and billing software, and Blackbaud Financial Edge, our general ledger.
 
This full-time, 12-month, exempt position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and works closely with the Controller.
 
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years in administrative, billing and/or accounting experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills. Must be able to interact with school families in a professional manner.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and tact.
  • Demonstrated strong time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, high-volume and detailed-oriented environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data-analysis, and multi-tasking skills.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to produce high quality, accurate work on a timely basis.
  • Ability to design, lead and implement change to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Extensive technical skills required. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Google are necessary.
  • Working knowledge of TADS tuition management system preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Blackbaud Financial Edge preferred.
